Friends, there is a beautiful move of God unfolding at Asbury University.
As the Spirit has continued to move across both the university and seminary campuses, folks from around the country (and even other countries) have begun to show up to dip into these spiritual waters. No one is ready to label this move of God but it is hard to deny there is something special going on.
God is on the move! Word has it that other college campuses are also catching the fire. Even national news outlets have taken notice and are reporting on what’s happening in Wilmore, Kentucky. Thanks be to God!
This sure seems like an answer to many prayers, prayed over many years. We all long so deeply to move beyond contention and toward the greater moves of God. And what many of us are hearing now is that it is not for us to travel to Wilmore, but for the fire being stoked there to come home to us. So friends, let’s bring the fire home!
On Sunday, February 26th at 5:30p, you are enthusiastically encouraged to make your own pilgrimage to Norcross First United Methodist Church to gather for prayer and personal renewal.
Please share and plan to bring everyone with you who is willing and able to come and pray.
Let’s pray for a spiritual breakthrough! Let’s pray to be “utterly amazed” by God!
We will be led by worship leaders from UGA Wesley Foundation. Students from Asbury (both the seminary and the college) will share testimonies and lead us in prayer. Tom Atkins and other spiritual leaders from our conference will shepherd our time together. More will be announced as plans developed. For now, we just want you to start praying and passing the word. Let’s fill the room and our annual conference with prayers of repentance and crying out to God for a mighty move.
Watch for more information as it comes, and we’ll see you soon!
