“I hope this finds you well. I appreciate your allowing me this opportunity to invite you to a prayer gathering being organized by United Methodists in north Georgia.
This gathering is inspired by the remarkable outpouring of the Holy Spirit being experienced first in Kentucky and now on college campuses and in churches across the country. The Spirit is moving, and we believe it is time to pray fervently for God to move among us in north Georgia. We are calling pastors and laity in north Georgia to come together to pray for God to move among us and do a new thing. As a leader in our conference, we would be honored to have you with us in prayer.
Toward that end, I want to personally invite you to a prayer gathering to be hosted at Norcross First United Methodist Church on Sunday, February, 26th, 5:30-7:30p, for the sole purpose of praying for God to move among us in north Georgia. We will be led by a worship team from the UGA Wesley Foundation and by undergraduate and graduate students at Asbury University and Seminary, most of whom are from north Georgia UM churches. We will organize our prayers around adoration, repentance, breakthrough, freedom, and healing. We expect a thousand or more from across our conference to be with us in prayer.
This is a non-political gathering. The folks who will gather are full of faith and encouraged by the fresh wind of the Spirit we’re all witnessing. You would be blessed to be among them in an atmosphere of worship. I hope you’ll come.
Please let me know if I can answer any questions or prepare for your attendance in any special way. It would be an honor if we might have your presence among us.”
Please join us Sunday.
